Also includes the ability to coordinate data governance activities, manage and resolve data related issues, monitor and ensure regulatory compliance, and monitor and enforce conformance with data policies, standards and architecture. Data and Information Governance is the capability to manage the availability, usability, integrity, and security of the data and information employed in an organisation A sound data and information governance includes a governing body or council, a defined set of procedures, and a plan to execute those procedures.
